Tips for new Full-Time RVer's

After meeting many fellow RVer's we have come up with a list of tips for the new full-time RVer.  You will always be able to add to the list, but you get the idea.  So enjoy, and "Leave Ordinary Behind"

  • Slow Down, enjoy life !
  • Have Roadside Assistance with RV coverage
  • Before connecting to water, clean the spigot
  • Keep a budget
  • Use a Surge Suppressor
  • Laugh and be flexible
  • Use a Water Regulator
  • Utilize a Mail service
  • Have emergency funds available
  • Have a sign for your RV that tells people how to reach you in case of an emergency
  • Flush the black tank often
  • Don't leave black tank open to the sewer
  • Invest in the best tires you can afford
  • Never let your fuel get below 1/2 full
  • Do pre-trip inspections
  • Don't Put off Repairs
  • Securely fasten cupboard doors before traveling
  • Have a hobby
  • Remember its not if something will break, but rather when will it break
  • Carry a well stocked tool box
  • Remember the duct/gorilla tape
  • Remember to have spare bulbs
  • Use a GPS designed specifically for RV's
  • Carry a Mi-Fi hotspot for those parks with poor WiFi
  • Go paperless with your accounts
  • Get comfortable doing internet searches
  • Remember to have some cash with you at all times for those parks that do not take cards
  • Make sure you and your partner can get along in small places for long periods of time
  • If you don't have a place to put it in the RV, don't buy it.
