This is another one of those “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” sort of stories in my opinion.

This quiet - seemingly little - campground is nestled down in a little valley next to Cayuta Lake in Odessa, NY.

What I loved about it was how quaint it all seemed.  Clean, well kept, and peaceful.

There were tents, Class C’s, travel trailers and fifth wheels tucked away here and there through out the campground in different levels of the park.

Some seasonal, as well as open spots were literally right near the waters edge.

Others were up a little ways on the hill under the shade of the tall trees.

If you wanted open space and sunshine, they had several premium spots for that as well across from the office with a view of the lake in one direction, the hills in another.

And cabins?

If you were looking more for a getaway near this placid lake filled with fish and a swimming area, they had the perfect location right above the club house!

There were other cabins and rentals on property, but the 1 bedroom with bath and full kitchen cabin by the lake would be perfect.

Clean and room for four, as the couch made into a bed as well, was simply adorable.

You could have your breakfast while watching the sunrise over the lake right outside the dining room window.

With tent sites galore and many more to come, the owners work almost non-stop in providing an abundance of hiking trails and cleared, inviting natural settings.

Plenty of shade, near water and rustic restrooms, it would be a great way to just kick back and relax.

Speaking of the owners, they have put a lifetime into making Cool-Lea the summer get-a-way one could dream about.

Family oriented, caring and always there to meet your needs, it’s like going away to visit distant relatives.
